On 13 June 2008 the Grundtvig project UNEC Uniting Europe through Culture was presented the European Bronze Award for Qualität in Mobilität in Ljubljana.

The Award was given to Co-ordinator Ingrid Wagenhofer, General Secretary of The Business Club AUSTRIALIA, together with Radu Szekely, Representative of the Finnish partner organisation VNF Västra Nylands Folkhögskola, by Milan Zver, Slovenian Minister for Education and Sports, in a Award Celebration Ceremony.

After the ceremony representatives of  the European Commission and National Agencies met with the Award winners, who were all smiles, in the exhibition of nominated project. Beside Ernst Gesslbauer, Director of the Austrian National Agency, Patrizia Jankovic from the Ministry of Education and Art and the Director of the  Finnish National Agency, also Alan Smith and Ann Van den Bulcke from the Directorat-General for Education and Culture congratulated the delighted partners of UNEC.

During the conference "Quality in Mobility within LLL" a total of 15 European projects of all European Education Programmes were awarded. All nominated projects were also part of an impressive exhibition in the foyer of the Ljubljana Conference Centre.

For UNEC the Bronze Award is acutally the second award; in 2006 the project was already pronounced example of "Best Practice for Evaluation" and was presented at the co-ordinators' meeting of all selected Grundtvig EU projects in that year in Brussels.

More information about the project and the Awards can be found on the project website
